Women Against Sarah Palin
There’s a blog and a website with a petition. And there’s another petition.
There are lots of facebook groups:
- Intelligent Women Against Sarah Palin
- Women Against Sarah Palin for Vice President
- Women Against Sarah Palin, which is associated with the blog mentioned above
- Intelligent Women Against Sarah Palin, which seems to be different than the first group
Sign up and spread the word! If you know of other organizations/groups like this, please add them in the comments. There are also gender-neutral groups but since I am a woman and since the Republican rhetoric is so annoyingly pseudo-feminist, I think it’s time for us women to speak out, especially as women.
And here’s another woman speaking out: From a working mother’s perspective, Sarah Palin is perpetuating the myth that women can easily (!) have it all. As Leslie points out, this will make it more difficult for working mothers (and fathers) to fight for the help that they in reality need, things like birth control, child care, and flexible work arrangements. To me, it remains a mystery how Palin does everything that I couldn’t do with even one child (I was fortunate to have wonderful child care as well as very considerate and flexible managers but it was still tough and I wasn’t working 24/7…).
eventhough there are lots of criticisms against Sarah Palin, i still admire her. she also did a lot of things in the area of politics specially in Alaska.
Just saw this from Dr Ginger Campbell (Brain Science Podscasts): Every Thinking Woman Should Take a Stand on Sarah Palin.
