  1. I agree, Angela! It seems to me that it’s time for us to get organized, though I am not sure how. Most singles are not thinking of ourselves as a political force as singles. Being single is so much viewed as a transitional status that singlism remains pervasive and largely unrecognized even by fellow singles. For example, I was rather disappointed about the lack of critical analysis at a recent panel of single women writers at the Commonwealth Club here in SF. Somehow, they seemed to miss how radical it is to choose to be single! I think it’s time for some major consciousness raising!

  2. Yes and thank you very much. It sometimes feels like we singles are the lost segment of our population – and there are so many of us!
